A TOUR OF THE ANCIENT GREEK UNDERWORLD
We've always been fascinated by Greek Mythology and stories of old. This film is a quirky tour of the ancient greek underworld and it's regions, starring some popular mythical characters.
The prophetess - Sybil of Cumae takes a newly dead Achilles on the tour, introducing the different creatures, residents, guardians and vistas before he settles in.
It was an absolute joyride visualising their journey through the underworld, with the voice of Sybil
(Alexandra Panzer) guiding us along.

TREATMENT / STYLEFRAMES
Contrary to popular belief, the Greek underworld does not just comprise of Tartarus, but other lands that were reserved for only a select few - heroes, chosen by the gods for their valour and righteousness. Those lands had to be designed with 'heavenly' visuals, despite belonging in the underworld.
CHARACTERS
The protagonists of this film are Achilles and the Sybil of Cumae. Even though Achilles is usually associated with strength and power, we wanted to go with a humourous and light take for this lesson, and designed a nervous fidgety midget who would go on the tour with us.
COLOURSCRIPTS
The most fun part about the VisDev process is getting to quickly try out different colours in thumbnail form and keep the overall flow of the video intact. Making these also saved us a ton of time when it came to final production!
